# Canva embed

> Embed a Canva design into your Assembly portal.

## Overview

Canva is a tool that allows you to design various types of media, such as social media posts, logos, invitations, presentations, and more. To embed a **Design** from Canva, follow the instructions below.

## App setup

1. In the Dashboard sidebar, click **+ Add App**, then under **More ways to add** select **Embed existing content**.
2. Choose **Canva** from **Popular embeds** — or click **Add embed** to start from a URL.
3. Click **+ Embed app**. You'll land on the app's setup page.
4. Give the app a name and icon, and configure whether all clients can see it or only a subset.
5. We recommend setting this up as an **automatic** app so that your Canva design will be visible to all clients. If you only want this App to be visible to one or more specific clients, set this as a **manual** App.
6. Leave the app set to **Show as embed** so that the client isn't directed outside of the portal.
7. Go to your Canva design and click **Share** in the top-right.
8. Click **...More** at the bottom of the dropdown and then select **Embed** (`<>`).
9. Copy the **HTML embed code**.
10. Go back to the **App Setup** page and paste the copied link into the content box.
11. Click **Add** to be redirected to the app.
